President Vladimir Putin launched the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, emphasizing that our common wealth is respect for the unique culture of each region and each people.
The video features an excerpt from Pyotr Nadbitov’s choreographic production “Russia, Forward!” The focus is on the uniqueness of the cultures of the country’s peoples, where hundreds of nationalities live as one close‑knit family. The patriotic composition vividly demonstrates the cohesion of the peoples, the continuity of traditions, and the unity of the citizens of our great homeland.
For us, the residents of Kalmykia, this is a source of special pride. Our traditions, our epic, our hospitable land — all of this is part of the strong bond that ties our entire country together.
The full version of the production will be shown on February 22 at 17:00 at the Kalmyk State Philharmonic, where the military musical performance “Taglianochka na Polyanochka” will take place. This is a legendary production by Peter Timofeevich Nadbitov, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, Hero of Kalmykia, founder and artistic director of the Oiraty State Dance Theater of Kalmykia.
