Today, a solemn event dedicated to the Day of Culture Workers was held in the meeting hall of the Kalmykia government. The event brought together people from creative professions, enthusiasts, and those who sincerely love the work of their lives — industry veterans.
As part of the celebration, a solemn ceremony was also held to award the honorary titles “Honored Artist of the Republic of Kalmykia” and “Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kalmykia.” The awards were presented by Gilyana Gerasimovna Boshomdzhieva, Chairperson of the Kalmykia Government.
It should be noted that today, more than 2,000 people are working in the culture sector in Kalmykia. This is a true vanguard of initiatives and endeavors in the spiritual sphere: employees of museums and libraries, theatre and concert organization professionals, specialists from cultural centres, urban and rural clubs, and amateur art groups.
