Today he stopped at a wonderful place in one of the ancient cities of the country, called Mur. It is located on the left bank of the Oka River in the Vladimir region. For the first time, the city of Murom was mentioned in the “Tale of Bygone Years” under the year 862 as a city subject to Prince Rurik. Murom is also closely connected with Russian folklore — according to legend, the hero Ilya Muromets was born here. In 2008, the city was officially considered the capital of the All—Russian holiday – the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity.
