Presentation of Pyotr Timofeevich Nadbitov’s book “My Travel Notes”

At the A. Amur‑Sanan National Library, not only admirers of the ballet master’s talent from among the older generation gathered. The hall also included those for whom this book was written — the Hero of Kalmykia, an Honoured Art Worker of the RSFSR, an Honoured Artist of the Kalmyk ASSR, an Honoured Art Worker of the Chechen‑Ingush ASSR, a laureate of the O. I. Gorodovikov State Prize, and a Knight of the Order of Friendship — students of the choreographic department of the P. O. Chonkushov College of Arts.

In all the notes – about the tours in Taiwan, America, and Canada – the author writes about Kalmyk dance, the history of dance, and his own productions.

The author’s conversation with the audience was interrupted by warm congratulations on the publication of yet another wonderful book.

“I hope that my notes, my reflections on the fate of Kalmyk dance, will serve as guidance for those who will dedicate their lives to dance.” “But this book will be interesting as a small study on the history of dance in general,” expressed the hope of Pyotr Timofeevich, the founder and artistic director of the Kalmykia State Dance Theatre “Oiraty”.
