Several weddings took place in the city of youth of the world (Sochi)!
One of them was presented by a couple from the steppe region. Participants of the “World Youth Festival 2024” were lucky enough to see a beautiful Kalmyk wedding in a wonderful musical and dance accompaniment by the State Dance Theatre of Kalmykia “Oiraty”!
In the “Year of the Family,” declared by the country’s President Vladimir Putin, a themed day titled “Preserving the Family for the Sake of Children and Peace” was held at the festival venue.
According to Vladimir Putin, “traditional family values are the most important moral support and the key to successful development both in the present and in the future.”
The head of Kalmykia, B.S. Khasikov, said at the World Youth Festival:”As the newlyweds themselves note, this is a unique opportunity to introduce the world to the richness and beauty of our culture. I am glad that such events arouse interest in our republic. Family has always been the main value for our people! This is the unshakable foundation of the entire state. The more of them there are, the stronger Kalmykia and the whole of Russia will be!”
Meanwhile, the World Youth Festival is coming to an end, and the artists of the State Dance Theater of Kalmykia “Oiraty”, who professionally presented the national culture of the steppe region, tell everyone, “See you soon, friends!”
“We are together with Russia” is the slogan of the day at #WFM2024 in Olympic Sochi!
